Garrett Holler is welder, fabricator, body man, painter and artist.
Opening Holler Customs has been a dream of Garrett’s since he was about 12 years old. Garrett started drawing his first resto-mod ideas before he was even able to drive. Though he learned some mechanics from his father, he was fascinated with the idea of making his drawings become a reality. Garrett’s first car he modified was a 2001 Chevy S10 truck. He painted green ghost flames on the nose that extended back to the doors, converted the tailgate so that it opened like a door instead of dropping down where he added airbrush artwork, and lowered it. He did most of this at the age of 17.
Since high school, Garrett has perfected his skills working at a shop as the lead body shop technician that specializes on restoring high end classic European vehicles like Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, Maserati, Alpha Romeo, etc., some of which that are multi million dollar cars. He has restored and built vehicles that have been shown at Pebble Beach, Cavalino, and SEMA while turning down job offers to work for people like Chip Foose out in California.
At 26, and being completely self taught, Garrett opened Holler Customs (2018) with the aspiration to build one-of-a-kind custom hot rods with an emphasis on the intricate metalworking that he loves and is so passionate about. One of his goals in life is to have a vehicle showcased at the Petersen Automotive Museum.
Heather Holler barely knew how to change her own brakes when she started to attend Universal Technical Institute where she graduated from the automotive and diesel/industrial programs in 2012. After only being at school for 6 months, she landed her first job as an apprentice at a Subaru dealership. By the time she graduated being one of the top students in her class, she was already a certified Subaru technician and had been working in the industry for almost two years.
Heather’s career took off after getting a small amount of rally experience for some smaller privateer teams and landed a position for Vermont SportsCar/Subaru Motorsports. During that time, Heather was interviewed for a Subaru documentary called “Between the Lines” where she learned that she was the first female technician for the team. After her first season with the team, she decided to quit and go free lance where she has worked in rallycross for DirtFish Motorsports and in drift for Vaughn Gittin Jr. Motorsports. She can also be seen on TV shows like “Twin Turbos” and OverHaulin’”.
Though Heather also works for contractors, you can find her in the shop helping out and keeping Garrett’s projects in order.
